Your answers.
Your choice.

You can take the quiz and see your full result without sharing your answers or joining an email list.

If you save your reflection

Jan & Yukari store your 12 answers, calculated score and dimension breakdown, quiz version, time of submission and the version of the saving notice you agreed to. An email address is optional. If you provide one, it is linked to your answers.

We use saved reflections to understand our audience’s questions and develop the rural Japan guide. We do not publish individual answers. Choosing “Save my reflection” without ticking guide updates does not add you to our mailing list.

If you ask for guide updates

We store your email and signup choice, and send your email address to Kit, our email provider. Quiz answers are stored separately in our website database on Cloudflare; they are not sent to Kit. Use the unsubscribe link in our emails to stop updates.

Keeping a copy or asking about a record

“Copy my result” lets you keep your result in your own notes. Saving on this website is for our research; it does not create an account or send a result email. Keep the save reference shown after submission if you want to identify your record later.

If you receive our emails, reply to one to ask about or request removal of your saved reflection, including your save reference. Without an email or the reference, we may not be able to identify a particular submission. Unsubscribing stops emails; it does not itself delete a saved quiz response.

What this quiz does not collect

The quiz does not ask for your name, exact location, income, health information or immigration status. We do not add advertising trackers or store an IP address with your quiz response. Hosting and email providers may process technical information to operate their services.
